Due to the lightness and flexibility of textile materials, a completely new ease of comfort is achieved; combined with a rigid plastic face shield the welder experiences highest safety with work wear fashion qualities. Another fundamental innovation is the ergonomic nose cut out in the automatic darkening optics. This new geometry achieves an unprecedented increase of the visual field of view on the work piece and the environment by +17° horizontally and +7° vertically.

With this design of a welding-protection-mask, the LCD protection technique for the eyes was newly and innovatively designed.
