Venice Charging Totem
Charging mast for e-buses
The Totem was designed for the islands of Lido and Palestrina in Venice, a confident placement of modern, minimalistic technology in a historic setting. The charging mast's ecological benefit is astounding: each Totem saves 200 tons of CO2/year. The galvanized, powder-coated, vandal-proof steel withstands Mediterranean weather and is recyclable. The slim structure houses everything with no need for an external cabinet. The asymmetric lines are almost sculptural and yet functional: the bus drivers approach the proper (flush) side, ensuring correct polarity. The color scheme follows the CI of ACTV and also distinguishes the different functional areas of steelwork and charging.
