Light Creature

Interactive façade

The new façade designed for WZ Hotel is an urban art work called Light Creature. At night, interactive light patterns illuminate the metal skin. Sounds and air quality are collected by sensors and affect in real-time its movement, forms and colors. A phone app allows the public to directly interact with the work. The project is a research project that explores the "Hacked City," developed by Estudio Guto Requena, which seeks to provoke positive transformations for the city, its public spaces and its architecture, plugging in poetic, functional and digital systems.
