The lighting designer Ingo Maurer asked us to design a contemporary website that would bring his work to life and allow the viewer to experience them on a visceral level. We presented his light objects within the framework of a reduced design, sparing any excessive effects. The layout is intentionally ”slightly off”, with images working against the grid. A strong light / dark contrast references the concept of lighting across the site. The seemingly simple typography is on closer view full of idiosyncratic details. Naturally, this website works responsively across all digital devices.
