HAUKI - Water Mapping System
Microplastic mapping system through water sports
The HAUKI is a marine microplastics filtering and mapping system that combines physical exploration through water sports with scientific exploration through laboratory research. Rather than statically tackling an ecological problem, this concept fosters the desire to actively participate in the search for a solution. The user not only contributes to improving the environment in which he practices the sport, but also benefits from better performance in the water thanks to the assisted paddling system.
This concept tackles a critical pollution issue by mapping and filtering microplastics. This clever solution combines filtration with water sports while also addressing the issue of resistance by incorporating a propulsion component. The use of recycled materials tops off the ecological credentials of this design concept.
WINNER STATEMENTWe are honored to have our journey recognized by this prestigious award. It gives us immense encouragement to continue working on and developing our idea, as well as a sense of validation for the system we've created.
