Copy, right?

Book

There are pieces of furniture that are well-known. The BACKENZAHN™ stool by Philipp Mainzer for e15 is one of these classics. Designed in 1996: at twenty years a fairly young classic. But with success comes envy. In this case copies of the popular piece of furniture. "Copy, right?" presents 17 different images of countless rip-offs – each as a photocopy. A copy of a copy. Design critic Markus Frenzl briefly explains the development of the design and the impulse to imitate it. Followed by page per page of imitations. No comment, black and white. A very humorous way of looking at it and still the accusation is always present: copyright infringement.
