Axkid reached out to McKinsey Design for support in creating a new car seat aimed at newborns and children up to 7 years of age. The design challenge was to create a rear-facing, comfortable, adjustable car seat for larger kids that could also become the safest in the market. The team designed every detail to accommodate children's needs, to allow them to sit comfortably and safely. The seat features neck and head protectors, and every detail was calibrated via multiple digital and physical crash simulations. The space for the child, as well as the front passenger seat, was maximized. It's easy and quick to install.
