The 111 Navy Chair® is made of 111 recycled PET plastic bottles 65% post consumer PET with 35% glass fiber and pigment. The chair in 6 colors passes all commercial requirements; structurally strong, fire retardant, cleanable and light-fast outdoors for two years. The PET chair is guaranteed for 5 years. The 111 Navy Chair® is an exact replica of Emeco aluminum 1006 Navy® Chair, first made in 1944 for use on submarines. A joint venture between Emeco and Coca-Cola, it is injection molded of recycled PET from Cokes own USA recycling plant. The plastic 111 Navy Chair® costs half of the original aluminum chair and is twice the weight.
