"Insights" - understanding Design

Since 2019, iF Design is a proud partner of the Berlin Design Week with various design events around the city. Every year, we connect and exchange with the scene - and invite to our big iF DESIGN AWARD NIGHT as an international design and networking event at the Friedrichstadtpalast. In 2024, this will be on 29 April!

This year, under INSIGHTS as the guiding theme, the BNDWK invites participants to reflect and delve deeper. The aim is to understand design as an aesthetic discipline and as a means of exploring and presenting complex contexts. Participants are invited to present designs that offer insights into their creative processes and simultaneously show how these processes address social, technological and ecological issues and offer solutions.

Become a participant until 29 February

National and international designers, design studios, collectives, brands, companies, research facilities and institutions can apply to participate until February 29, 2024 – whether they are established players, start-ups, or career changers. The application process is aimed at participants who are willing to present experimental and innovative projects that have the potential to enrich the design industry as well as social and ecological discourse.
