Bicycle shelter

Ypsilon is a bicycle shed picking up traditional cast-iron shapes to create a new interpretation. Double square profiles form the columns that carry a wing shaped element made of T-sections each. At each end of the wing elements, a cylinder shaped cross member is fixed. This pair of tubes carries a set of T-sections conjointly, which support the angulated roof surface, the bend being above the rear round pipe. Because of the asymmetric shape of the roof, rain water is being channeled to the rear tube, which has an integrated drain. The wing form in combination with the filigree twin columns creates an impression of airiness and elegance.
