Loulan is a wine bottle packaging design from Xinjiang, China. As domestic wines are overly western in design style, with complex elements without national characteristics, this design creates a minimalist domestic wine that can be identified through colours and symbols. The design relies on Loulan culture of Xinjiang to express the regional flavour, and takes colours and symbols from the traditional costumes and architecture of Xinjiang to show the new possibilities of Chinese characteristics. The design uses biodegradable labels and recyclable bottles, which makes the product more eco-friendly by reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
