A Slice of Shoe
Shoe
Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI)Existing shoes on the market use 2D cut-outs and require an Insole, which performs a function of covering up the high and low seams underneath the insole where too many plates are sewn and glued together. A Slice of Shoe has developed the 3D Upper which is seamless, and no Insole needed. The 3D Upper leaves the traditional process behind and lets a simple robot do the work. Low fittings (less insole), low processing (gluing without stitching), low failure, and quick production design.
